Diets are very high on the list of topics these days. Many people are so fixated on the loss of weight, they loose track of the true goal: being healthier. While weight loss is a great goal, when not done properly, the work and effort is all in vain. Maybe a detox is better.
Diet vs. Detox
When toxins are in the body, which we all have a lot of them, the body produces fat to “encase” the toxin as a protective measure.
A diet that concentrates on weight loss can cause the toxins to be exposed when fat is lost (if fat is actually lost in the diet; oftentimes it is muscle that is lost in a traditional diet.) This exposure of toxins can have negative affects. It also means a higher concentration of toxins in a smaller body after weight loss.
Detox / Cleanse
On the other hand, when one goes through a cleanse or detox program, the goal is to rid the body of toxins along with weight loss. This will result in a lower concentration of toxins in a smaller body, which is the desired result. It also means the body will not re-enlist fat to encase the newly exposed toxins, as is the case with the typical diet.
The rebound effect is much less likely after a detox than that program that focuses only on weight loss.
Ask about the 5 x 5 Reset program.
